Shelice is a Certified Childbirth Educator through CAPPA, based in the Greer, SC area, and servicing clients in both Georgia and South Carolina. Born and raised in Greenville, SC, Shelice was a proud resident of Georgia for 13 years. As a former teen mom who overcame numerous challenges, she is now the mother of an HBCU college student and four other amazing children.
Shelice began her professional journey by earning an Associate Degree in Medical Administration. She holds several certifications, including Placenta Encapsulator, Community Breastfeeding Educator, Breastfeeding Counselor, Poppy Seed Advocate and, most notably, Doula with specializations in fertility, pregnancy, and infant loss.
Currently, Shelice works operating her business, Handful of Pearls Birthing Services, where the corporate office is located in Covington, GA. Among her many professional accomplishments is the publication of her book, "The Adventures of a Doula," available on Amazon. She has also been featured in three local Georgia magazines, Bold, Voyage and Shout.
Shelice is passionate about reaching and educating parents worldwide. She aims to use her certifications to teach parents, family members, and anyone eager to learn, with a focus on making a positive impact. Shelice is dedicated to helping people break generational curses, eliminate bad habits, and unlearn unhealthy information. She replaces these with healthy information, tools, and resources based on evidence-based learning, strategies, and techniques.
Through her work, Shelice aspires to make a difference in the lives of families by providing valuable education and support during one of the most important times in their lives.
